11 days? It will be a breeze! We did it in 9, with some challeging variants such as Fenêtre d'Arpette (which I do not recommend to Gillian, I cried up there). And we booked less than 6 months in advance. How? We stayed only in a couple of mountain huts, the rest was hotels and even airbnbs. That did involve a few short transfers (usually bus, sometimes cable car and we hitchhiked a couple of times) but we were very comfortable. For example we did 4 nights in Les Houches close to Chamonix and we took a bus most days to get to where we left off the day before, and sometimes a cable car. It worked great. And we had excellent weather (in August), but be prepared for everything because we had icy rain with close to zero tempretures on the last day and my husband almost went into hypothermia. But generally it's a beautiful tour! My favourite bit was from Courmayeur to Refugio Elena on the Italian side. Such incredible views!
Excellent strategy...well done on the organizational front! Our goal is to secure private rooms in the refuges whenever possible. But of course we'll still be dealing with line ups for the shower. Very good tip about Fenêtre d'Arpette - I'll take a closer look at that route since only one of us has a head for heights. 😅
Sorry, I mean the Fenêtre d'Arpette is probably too hard for Stephanie. For Gillian it should be a fun challenge 😉 (if the weather is perfect, you don't want to find yourself up there with fog and whatnot)

You clearly are more eager than me to the TMB. We've thought and thought about it. We've talked to so many who've done it. But I think we're going to do it, only the Day Hike version of it. No huts. Just good hikes and no bags. It's on the list once we get our Greek Golden Visa sorted. I can't wait to read about your experience *a year from now!* Your recs for Via Transilvanica were so great. Did you see our blog/video for Fisherman's Trail? So far, that one has been my favorite. Beats Three Capes.
I didn't see your video for the Fisherman's Trail but I will absolutely put it on my must-watch list. We've debated the trail a number of times so it will be good to see what your experience was. I was a little hesitant after reading about long days hiking on sand dunes! Very curious to hear more abut your Greek Golden Visa and what your decision making process was. Have you posted a blog on the topic? We would love to get more time in the Schengen Zone but the residency requirements for most of the countries always seem a little too involving.
